DJ Snuggles is a world class beatbox artist. As a teenager, Snuggles won the global beatbox battle at Scribble Jam in Cincinnati, Ohio on his first try. Snuggles is a vocal percussionist known for his incredible international performances and highly sought after collaborations.
Maria Isa is an emcee, singer, songwriter, activist and educator born and raised by Nuyorican parents in West St. Paul. In 1992 she attended El Arco Iris Center for Arts, forming Raices in 2002 with other advanced students to conserve their ancestral Puerto Rican folklore music. Isa joined Emetrece Productions in 2006 to promote her music in the Twin Cities and in Puerto Rico, as well as to study the curriculum of Hip-Hop and Reggaeton. Maria Isa independently founded SotaRico in 2008. As a fixture in the Twin Cities hip-hop scene, along with the Maria Isa Band, Isa is recognized for her fusion of R&B and Reggaeton, weaving traditional Afro-Boricua rhythms with hip-hop flavor. Political imagery and social action are constant themes in her lyrics and music.
Heatherlyn is a singer song artist with a Soul ~ Roots ~ Rock vibe from Minneapolis MN, awarded the 2010 & 2011 Midwest “People’s Choice” of NPR’s Mountain Stage NewSong Performance Contest. Her soulful, honest voice resonates with people from many various walks of life. In concert, Heatherlyn leads participants on a refreshing journey of connection – from whimsical laughter together to deeper thoughtfulness about life and love, considering how we each are conduits of peace and hope in our world.
Born in 1994 in Grand Forks, North Dakota, Shanell McCoy is a young, talented singer/songwriter. She wrote her first song at the age of five and gave her first performance at the age of ten. From then on, she has performed at multiple venues and has written hundreds of songs. Her songs, influenced by R&B and Hip Hop, are mainly focused on real life situations and empowerment. Outside of music, she works to help young people find their own voice by working with organizations such as youthrive. Currently, she is attending North Hennipen Community College as a Freshman. She hopes to pursue a career in marketing.
