Youth Justice™
From Prevention, to Intervention,
to Youth in Residence, to Re-entry
Face2Face is a community-based juvenile justice program that builds relationships and mutual respect between youth and police. The goal of Face2Face is to provide meaningful opportunities for police, youth/community to engage each other in constructive conversation and action around crime prevention. This goal is accomplished through the development of authentic youth/police relationships, shared skill-building and project learning methodologies.
The event planned by the Face2Face team serves as an open forum for young people and police to affect change around community concerns including: cultural differences, gang awareness, immigration, and other issues that develop in the brainstorming activities. Youth and police act out reverse role-play scenarios that address community concerns, then engage event participants in round-table discussions about those issues.

Working with Youth in Residence
youthrive's team of youth and adult facilitators deliver year-round skill-building sessions with incarcerated youth at various detention facilities. Skill-building sessions focus on the following topics: leadership, conflict resolution, creative expression, critical thinking, and communication.
In addition, we engage youth in residence in the peace-building process and strategies for implementation in their home communities.
